How to organize Gemini chats

Gemini shows recent chats in its sidebar, newest first. Searching works when you remember a word from the title. Folders help when you do not.

Add folders to Gemini

1. Add Foldwell to Chrome and open gemini.google.com.
2. Open the Foldwell side panel from the extension icon.
3. Click New folder. Nest folders by using New subfolder in a folder's menu.
4. Drag chats from the Gemini sidebar into a folder, or open a chat and click Save to folder.

Chats in the panel open in your Gemini tab when you click them. Foldwell never edits the Gemini page itself.

Mix assistants in one folder

If you ask the same question to Gemini and ChatGPT, file both chats in the same folder. Each one shows a small label for its site.

Export a Gemini chat

With Foldwell Pro, select one or more Gemini chats and choose Export. You get a Markdown or JSON file with every message.

Bulk delete is not available for Gemini. Delete Gemini chats from Gemini's own menu.
